The Wisdom of Crowds

It is so interesting to hear there is such kind of research. It says that joint decision by many people is better than individual's decision in most cases. This is interesting story below,
The opening anecdote relates Francis Galton's surprise
that the crowd at a county fair accurately guessed the weight of an ox when their individual guesses were
averaged (the average was closer to the ox's true weight than the estimates of
most crowd members, and also closer than any of the separate estimates made by
cattle experts).

As I know, some company will do the forecasting based on the views from the different people.

It's only $15 dollar to get this book in Amazon. Unlike chinese book, I can read an un-math intensive book really fast. Now I already have a long English book list to complete. And this list is longer and longer every day. Mission impossible!!!
